We Provide Confidential Help and Support for Lawyers, Judges, and Law Students

Lawyers

The inherently competitive and demanding nature of the practice of law makes lawyers particularly vulnerable to mental health concerns and substance abuse. KALAP, however, is here to help. Our confidential services, including consultations, referrals for assessments and treatment, mentoring and interventions, are available to all Kansas lawyers at no cost.

Judges experience many of the same problems as other members of the legal profession – stress, depression, balancing work and family, alcohol or drug abuse, and compulsive behaviors. The Kansas Judges Assistance Committee provides confidential assistance to any Kansas judge in need due to mental or physical disability, or addiction.
